Face to Face
You are not a body that has a soul. You are a soul that is currently driving a body.
The Definition
What I am describing is a moment of discovering the Soul (Neshama). As it is perceived internally. The Soul is not a “trait” of the person. It is the very essence of his being. The point of Divine light within him. Literally, a part of God from above.
The Soul preceded the body. It comes down to the world wrapped in infinite light. And the entire life of the Soul is a yearning to be revealed. To return and shine from within the human vessel.
The Crown
This revelation is not reserved only for hidden saints. It is the destiny of every person. For the inner dimension to emerge from concealment into revelation.
The Soul is called the “Crown of Crowns.” Not because of distance. But because it is the root of Will and Love. The place where Divine Will and Divine Love are revealed in man. It is the “Queen of Labors.” Because every action, thought, or emotion receives value and life only when it flows from Her.
The Shift
When a person meets the Soul inside him... A beauty is revealed that does not depend on time, form, or life story. A beauty of pure love. Of light that has no end.
It is a breathtaking moment. Because it breaks the identification with the body. And returns the person to the simple knowledge: “I am light.” “I was created to reveal love.”
Face to Face
This is a revelation of Resurrection. Not as a metaphor. And not as a promise. But as a tangible awakening of the Infinite inside the human being.
A meeting... Face to Face (Panim el Panim). “Face to Face” means: Internal to Internal. Will to Will. Soul to its Root.
The Zohar says that “Face” (Panim) is the internality of the Will. And when a person truly meets his soul... He does not see the Creator as external to him. But discovers that the Divine Light is already present within him.
The Removal of the Mask
This is the state of which it is said: “I will resemble the Most High.” Not an external imagination. But an equivalence of form.
The human does not become God. But he ceases to hide the Divinity within him. It is not a new revelation coming from the outside. It is the removal of the screens... allowing the light that was always present to finally be seen.
The Point of No Return
Therefore, the experience feels overwhelming. Inconceivable. Almost non-human. Because it truly exceeds the ordinary identity of “body” and “story.” It is a moment where the “I” retreats. And the Essence is revealed.
True clinging (Dvekut) is not intellectual knowledge... it is a living attainment. Where a person feels that Life Itself is looking at him.
When this thing is revealed... The person is not filled only with excitement. He is filled with quiet Awe (Yirah). Deep humility. And an inner knowing that there is no need to prove anything.
It is a moment where the Soul recognizes its Source. And the Source recognizes Itself through the Soul. It is a meeting from which one can never return to the same way of life. Something opens. And something closes forever.
