Fundamental Mistake (Stop Looking for the "Right" Life)
On her Hebrew Birthday (15th of Tevet), Ruth Kedem reflects: There is no "right partner" or "right career" outside of you. There is only the agreement to be what the Creator wanted you to be.
The Fundamental Mistake of Man The Zohar says the root error is searching for the “Right” outside of the Source.
The Right Man.
The Right Woman.
The Right Life.
As if there is one precise shape, and if we only find it, we will finally rest. But the deep truth is: There is no “Right” outside of the Will of God. And there is no “Precision” outside of Adhesion (Dvekut).
The Metaphysical Fact The Ramchal explains that every reality is created simply because the Creator desires it. The very fact that you were born means:
You were called by name in Heaven.
And the World was lacking without you.
This is not a comforting statement. It is a metaphysical fact. Therefore, the day of birth is a day of Cosmic Joy. Not because life will be easy. But because of the very appearance of your Soul in the world.
The Definition of Love The Tanya states that the Soul descends to this world not to find “Compatibility,” but to reveal Divinity within “Incompatibility.” Life is not measured by how well it fits our desires, but by how much we learn to align our form with the Creator within what is given to us.
And here the Secret of Love is revealed: Love is not just a pleasant emotion. Love is the Divine Agreement to everything the Creator included in the package called “Life.” True love includes trials, crises, hardships, delays, and even brokenness. Because they are all vessels for revealing Light.
From “What Fits Me?” to “I Am Here” Baal HaSulam teaches that the Creator is the Will to Bestow Absolute Good. But the Good is revealed only in a Vessel that agrees to accept reality as a Mission.
Whoever looks for “What suits me?” -> Remains imprisoned in himself.
Whoever understands that life is not about Matching, but about Inclusion (Hitkalelut) -> Begins to live.
Messianic Consciousness sharpens this: In this generation, the call is no longer to flee the world or to fix it from the outside. But To Be Life Itself in Adhesion. Not to look for who or what will fill me. But to allow the Creator to be revealed through me.
The Real Birthday The Sages said: “It would have been better for man not to be created than to be created.” But they did not say this to cancel life. They said it to reveal a different depth: Whoever was already created -> Was Chosen.
The very creation is an indisputable testimony: The Creator wanted You. Not by accident. Not by default. But as a precise purpose within the purpose of the world.
The Zohar reveals that the moment a person truly says: “It is good that I was created,” He elevates Malchut (The Kingdom) from its lowliness. Because Malchut is the place where life is experienced as a burden, a difficulty, a struggle. And when a person agrees to his existence—
Even for the pain he passed through,
Even for the broken pieces,
Even for the places where he did not understand God— He turns existence itself into a Vessel of Light.
My Blessing to You This is the true point of birth. Not the day we came out into the air of the world. But the day we said with a whole heart: “It is good that I was created.” “It is good that I was born.” “Thank You, Master of the World.”
On the 15th of Tevet, my Hebrew Birthday, I embrace you all in one Soul. In one Adhesion. In infinite Unity.
May we merit to be True Partners. Not just in deed, but in the Heart. Truly thankful. Truly living.
Be blessed, beloveds, wherever you are.
