Have We Truly Returned?
On the day that the hostages return,
we will be tested to see if we have truly returned.
Because this is not just the release of bodies, but a test of consciousness.
Has this people learned the lesson?
Do we understand that the external kidnapping is the result of an internal kidnapping—
of our consciousness into a world of lies, fear, dependence, and flesh and blood?
“Israel and the Holy One, Blessed be He, are one.”
But only when Israel themselves are one.
When there is separation, the Shekhinah (Divine Presence) is in exile, and the people are in exile with her.
When there is unity, the Shekhinah returns to her place, and all redemption is born.
The hostages are a mirror of the captive Shekhinah,
and their return is a sign that the Shekhinah is asking to come home—
to the united heart of the people.
The world operates by an order of governance—Judgment (Din), Mercy (Rachamim), and Unification.
When human beings act from a place of knowledge (da’at),
they elevate judgment to mercy, and mercy gives birth to redemption.
But when those who act are driven only by interests, fears, or politics,
they leave the judgment in its place, and the world continues to suffer.
The return of the hostages,
if we understand it correctly,
is not a political act,
but a rectification of the Order of Judgment through the awakening of Mercy—the mercy of a mother for her children.
“In every generation, there is a spark of Moses our Teacher in every soul of Israel, to know God.”
A moment like this is meant to awaken that spark.
Not to weep in front of the screen,
but to know.
To know that there is nothing but Him.
That there is no power of flesh and blood that decides.
That there is no “agreement” that brings salvation.
Rather, it is the will of God awakening through the heart of the people when they return to feeling—
to unity, to love, to mutual responsibility.
The true redemption will come only when we understand that “All of Israel are responsible for one another”
is not a slogan,
but a spiritual law.
If one part of the body suffers, the entire body is sick.
If one part returns home,
we must all return with it,
in a consciousness of responsibility and unity.
Not from a mercy of weakness,
but from a kindness of knowledge (chesed shel da’at)—
from the understanding that we are all limbs of the same one soul,
the soul of the collective Adam.
And what is the call of Mashiach in this moment?
When the people awaken to understand that peace is not a treaty,
but the result of a true, inner love.
At this very moment,
the Torah of Mashiach says:
The hostages are a reflection of ourselves,
and every one of us is called to release the captive within,
the inner child that was taken captive by fear, by television, by hatred, by illusion.
And an instruction for this people on this day:
Turn your heart from the screens to the heart.
Do not let the media continue to kidnap your consciousness.
Unite hearts.
Not one opinion—one heart.
Do not give credit to flesh and blood.
The light does not come from them.
Remember,
the people of Israel are the life raft for the entire world.
Not by force,
but by love.
Give thanks to God.
Give thanks not because an agreement was signed,
but because the Shekhinah is beginning to return home.
“Blessed are you, Lord, who revives the dead, who revives knowledge (da’at), who reveals Your unity in the world.”
Reflect:
In what ways is your own consciousness “held hostage” by fear, media, dependency on “flesh and blood,” or illusion?
What does it mean to you that “All of Israel are responsible for one another”—not as a slogan, but as a spiritual law?
What is one action you can take today to “turn your heart from the screens to the heart” and cultivate unity, not of opinion, but of spirit?
