How Do You Know When Your Correction (Tikun) Is Finished?
You don't know. Because when the work is done, the "You" that asks questions no longer exists.
“How do I know that my Tikun (Correction) is finished?”
In the Secret Wisdom (Torat HaSod), the answer to this question is sharp—and not emotional: A person never “knows” that the Tikun is finished. Why? Because when the Tikun is finished, there is no one left to ask.
What is Tikun? Tikun is not moral success. It is not mental value. It is not a comfortable life.
Tikun is a state where the Will stops demanding a reality different from the one the Creator is leading right now.
The Sign of Completion When the correction of a certain level ends, a very specific thing happens:
The difficulties do not disappear.
The Internal Resistance to them disappears.
There is no struggle. There is no drama. There is no search for validation. There is Action, Choice, and Movement. But I act, choose, stop, or move forward—not to “get rid of a problem,” but because that is what is true right now.
The Paradox As long as a person asks, “Am I done correcting?”—he is still within the stage of Clarification (Birur). In the completion of Tikun (Gmar Tikun), there is no “Achievement Consciousness.” There is Inclusion (Hitkalelut). Like an organ in the body that is not aware of itself—it simply functions.
The Zohar’s Deep Insight A person’s private Tikun ends:
Not when his life is perfect.
But when he stops asking for a different life. This is not Resignation. It is Deep Agreement.
Therefore, the real answer is: We don’t ask if the Tikun is over. We check if there is still internal resistance to reality as it is.
As long as there is resistance -> There is work.
When there is no resistance -> We don’t call it “Finished Tikun.” We call it Adhesion (Dvekut).
What is Dvekut? Adhesion is a state of consciousness where the split is erased: The split between “The One Who Lives” and “The One Who Interprets His Life.”
There is no “Separate Internal Stance.” “Lit Atar Panuy Minei” (There is no place void of Him). There is no space left where you stand opposite something.
Adhesion is not “Connection” (which implies two things connecting). Adhesion is the Nullification of Separation.
Just as “Ein Od Milvado” (There is nothing but Him) is not a belief. It is the moment when: You stop being the one who Believes. And you remain only the one who Is.
