If You Don't Understand Me, It's My Fault (Not Yours)
A reader asks: "Can you speak in simple words? I feel like I'm not smart enough." Ruth Kedem answers: The thirst you feel is the proof that you are enough. True wisdom isn't about high concepts; it's
“I read your words every day, but I have a request. Can you lower the language to ‘eye level’? I often feel I don’t understand the high words and proverbs. It makes me feel like I don’t understand you enough, yet I am thirsty for this information. Can you help?”
I read you with deep listening. And I want to stop for a moment and tell you something clear: There is no lack of understanding in you.
What you are feeling does not say “I am not enough.” It says that the language is currently higher than the Vessel in which you are trying to receive. And that is natural, human, and reversible.
So, I will answer you simply. At eye level. Without concepts. Without “Greatness.”
The Translation of “High Words” Much of what I write touches the deep layers of life:
Why do we suffer?
Why do we feel empty?
Why do patterns repeat?
How can we live differently?
When this is written in “High Language,” it sounds beautiful, but it doesn’t always enter the heart or the daily routine. And then a frustrating feeling is created: “I feel there is something important here, but I can’t catch it.”
It is not because you don’t understand. It is because the words don’t always meet the place where you are right now.
Spirituality is Actually Very Simple Simply put, without Kabbalah and without names:
You are looking to understand how to live without disappearing.
How not to lose yourself in relationships, work, and expectations.
How to know when something is wrong for you—without feeling guilty.
How to feel that there is Meaning, not just Struggle.
When I use big words, it sounds “Spiritual,” distant, not everyday. But the truth is, all of this is supposed to touch the simplest things:
How you wake up in the morning.
How you feel in your body.
How you know if you are good or not.
How you allow yourself to choose.
The Thirst is the Proof If we put all the high words aside, the basic message is this: You don’t need to understand everything to be on the right path.
If you are Thirsty—it is a sign that your Heart is Open. Not that you lack knowledge. And if something is not understood, it is allowed to say: “This is too big for me right now,” without making yourself small.
The Test of the Seeker I want you to know something important: Whoever truly “doesn’t understand” does not stay to read. They don’t get interested. They don’t ask. You stayed. You asked. That means the understanding is already there.
My Promise From now on, if you wish, I can:
Write more simply.
Explain one idea at a time.
Give examples from life, not concepts.
Or even write “The same idea in two languages”—Deep and Simple.
You do not need to make an effort to understand me. My role is to reach you. Not the other way around.
Reflect:
The barrier: Do you feel stupid when reading spiritual texts? Stop. That is the ego trying to keep you out. The soul understands the frequency, even if the mind misses the words.
The Teacher: A true teacher makes the complex simple. A fake teacher makes the simple complex.
The Thirst: Trust your curiosity. It is the compass of your soul.
