If You Will Hear
The voice isn't outside you. It's the truth already living in your awareness.
How do I hear God’s voice? How do I know what I’m supposed to do?
“If you will hear His voice”... this describes a state of consciousness.
The voice is not an external voice, but the inner voice of truth, of divine will, as it clothes itself in human awareness.
To hear His voice means to agree to stop resisting, to stop fleeing into external noise, and to let reality guide us from within.
There is no coercion here... only response.
When a person hears, they cease splitting between self-will and the Creator’s will, and then it becomes clear: there are not two voices, but one.
This is not a future promise, but a possibility that is always present. Because the moment there is true hearing, there is no delay and no barrier.
Life itself becomes a revelation of the voice.
In the Kabbalistic sense:
“If you will hear His voice” means the connection of Ze’ir Anpin to Malkhut... without screen and without separation.
The voice is the middle line, the voice of da’at, in which the supernal light clothes itself.
To hear is not an action of the ear, but nullification of the separate will, so that the desire to receive ceases to resist the light.
Then it is revealed that there is no external voice at all, only an awakening of the light from within the vessel itself.
This is a state where the soul hears itself at its root.
Therefore it says “if”... because hearing depends on equivalence of form.
When a person reaches the level of the secret, the voice and the ear, the speaker and the listener, the Creator and the created, become one matter... an immediate revelation of unity.
