Living Disconnected
It is not a mistake. It is a sleep state.
To live disconnected from Da’at—from Consciousness—is to run on autopilot. These people operate from will. From need. From habit. From ego. But never from an inner recognition of what is real.
They do not work on their character (Middot). They do not guard the holiness of the Singularity (Yichud).
They look for vitality on the outside Instead of generating life from the inside.
This is a state of Katnut Mochin—Constricted Consciousness. A state where a human being cannot feel the spiritual consequences of their actions.
Asleep. Without knowledge. Without true awe or love.
The mind justifies the behavior. It builds a logical defense system. But the inner sensitivity to the Essence is lost.
And so, the person truly does not understand what is wrong. “I didn’t do anything.” “It’s not that bad.”
Until life itself teaches them. Measure for measure. The feedback loop closes.

ORIYA’S NOTE
In the high-functioning loop, we call “stress management” or “blowing off steam.” We justify the disconnection intellectually. We say, “I work hard, I deserve this distraction,” or “I’m just exploring my options.”
The intellect is a lawyer; it will always find a precedent to justify the ego. But the body knows. The home knows. When you outsource your vitality—seeking excitement from a deal, a substance, or a stranger instead of generating it from within your own structure—you are asleep at the wheel. The crash isn’t a punishment. It’s just the physics of the loop catching up to you.
