You Cannot Save Someone Who Hasn't Felt the Void
The Zohar's harsh truth: "Man does not awaken except from his own lack." Why your help might be keeping their soul asleep.
“I have given them everything—money, love, support, advice. Why don’t they wake up? Why don’t they change?”
The Zohar says: “Man does not awaken except from his own Lack (Chisaron).”
This is a fundamental law of spiritual mechanics.
True Awakening of a person:
Is not created by Explanations.
Is not created by Love.
Is not created by Rescue or External Support.
It is created only from the moment when he meets His Own Lack. The place where:
There is no one to Cover for him.
There is no one to Hold him.
And there is no one to Extract him from the results of his actions.
The Trap of the Savior In Kabbalah, a Vessel (Kli) is defined by its emptiness. If there is no emptiness, Light cannot enter. As long as the Lack is managed for him by others— As long as you pay the debt, fix the mistake, or smooth over the conflict— The Soul remains dormant.
You are not helping; you are acting as an anesthetic. You are filling the void that was meant to scream “Wake Up!”
The Hardest Love Sometimes, the most spiritual act is to step back. To let the “Lack” do its work. To let the consequences land.
It is painful to watch. But it is the only way a soul remembers its own power.
Reflect:
The Cushion: Are you a cushion for someone? Are you absorbing the shock of their life? Move. Let them hit the floor. The floor is where the foundation is built.
The “Nice” Guy: Being “nice” often means preventing growth. Be “True” instead. Truth allows consequences.
The Void: Do not fear the void in others. It is the womb of their new self.
