Ritual Is a Hiding Place
We obsess over external rules because we are terrified of internal truths. A custom without a heart is not holiness; it is a cage.
“Why do we spend so much time debating what is ‘allowed’ and what is ‘forbidden’? Why does religion sometimes feel like a list of technicalities instead of a path to God?”
People busy themselves with these questions because it is easier to escape to customs, Definitions, and external discussions, Than to truly meet themselves.
Questions about names, Traditions, and “what is right,” Give a sense of control and order. But they do not touch the root of the pain.
The True Light is found in the correction of the human being himself. In the meeting with the fears. The loss. The responsibility and the Inner Truth.
When a person does not repair himself, Even the holiest custom becomes a tool of Concealment. Of burden and guilt.
Therefore, customs without internal work are Hell. Not because they are bad. But because they replace real life with rituals.
The Repair (Tikkun) is not in the question: “What did previous generations do?” But: “Who am I now?“ Where do I stand before the Truth? And am I living a life that is connected, honest, and free?
There, the Light begins. And all the rest is secondary.
