SIMPLICITY IS NOT STUPIDITY.
Why your internal complexity is the cause of your exhaustion
The Definition
“Simple” (Pashut) means: Not complex. Not divided. Not built of parts. Simple is that which has no composition of opposites, conflicting desires, or layers.
The Nature of Light The Upper Light is called Simple. Because there is no multiplicity in It. There is no change and there are no sides. It is absolute Unity. Not because it is numerically “One.” But because there is no internal difference within It at all. No Will to Receive. No movement. No lack. It is a reality not composed of anything else.
The Human Glitch
In contrast, the Created Being (The Vessel) is not simple. It is complex, split, changing. It has different desires. Different intentions. Internal struggles. Therefore, it experiences Smallness, confusion, boredom, rejection, attraction. All these are the offspring of the Complexity of the Will.
The Return to Simplicity
When we speak of “Returning to Simplicity” (Pshitut) or “Simple Light”: The intention is not to become naive or to stop thinking. The intention is to Refine the Will so that it does not have a multiplicity of intentions.
When the Will is aimed at one goal—Adhesion (Devekut)—and it does not split into a search for Value, Approval, Control, or Escape... Then the person becomes Simple. Not split. Simplicity is Internal Unity. Complexity is Multiple Focus Points within the Will.
The Active Simpleton
Therefore, a person can live a very active life—work, action, family—and still be Simple if their center is One. And they can be completely alone in a cave and still be Complex and Split if their Will is running between different focus points.
The Kabbalistic Law
“Simple” in Kabbalah is a state where there is no duality between what I want and what I am truly aiming for. It is Unity of Intention. Simple is what precedes all composition.
The Ein Sof
(Infinite Light) is called Simple. All the multiplicity we perceive is not in Him, but in the Tools (Vessels). In Him, there are no distinctions. There is no “Kindness” separate from “Judgment.” There is no “Will” separate from “Fulfillment.” He is a Unity that precedes the possibility of multiplicity.
The Source of Suffering
The Created Will to Receive is already not simple. The very fact that it “wants” something creates a relationship, a lack, a movement. That is where complexity begins: Light vs. Vessel, Fulfillment vs. Lack. Every life experience is a result of this complexity.
The Fix: Eliminate the Conflict
To return to Simplicity means canceling the internal composition of contradictory intentions. As long as the Will operates for the sake of several focus points:
A little for the sake of Heaven.
A little for the sake of Self-Worth.
A little for the sake of Security.
A little for the sake of Control. It is Complex. Even if it is dealing with spirituality.
Simplicity in Spiritual Work
This is a state where the Will is completely Single-Focus. Not split between “Me” and “Other.” Between “Reception” and “Influence.” Between “Fear” and “Love.” The movement stems from one source.
Independence
Simple is that which does not depend on a thing. As long as your existence depends on:
Approval
Connection
Success
Even the feeling of Adhesion... You are Complex.
When existence does not depend on anything, but stands by virtue of its Root—that is Simplicity. Therefore, Simple is not an emotional state. It is a State of Being where there is no separate Inner and Outer. There is no “Me” trying to achieve “Light.” There is one movement. Simplicity is existence without duality.

ORIYA’S NOTE
We think “Complexity” is a sign of intelligence. We love our complex problems, our complex traumas, and our complex personalities. We wear our “Overthinking” like a badge of honor.
Kabbalah says: Complexity is just spiritual clutter.
Imagine your brain is a web browser. Complexity (Murkavut) is having 57 tabs open. You are trying to work, but you are also checking the news, buying shoes, worrying about your ex, and seeking validation from strangers on Instagram. Your RAM is full. Your fan is spinning. You are overheating.
Simplicity (Pshitut) is having One Tab open. It doesn’t mean you are stupid. It means you are so focused that you don’t need the distraction.
We are exhausted not because we are doing too much. We are exhausted because we are wanting too much. We want God, but we also want the Credit. We want Love, but we also want Control. This internal split is what drains your battery.
Close the tabs. Pick one Master. That is Simplicity.
