STOP CHASING THE LIGHT
It is not a destination. It is the static background of everything.
The Mistake
We do not search for Infinite Light (Or Ein Sof). And it is not an object to be chased. It is not a goal to achieve. And it is not an “experience” that you need to bring down.
The Constant
Infinite Light is always present. It is equal in every place. And it does not change at all.
Searching only makes sense... when there is something missing. But in the Infinite Light, there is no lack. And therefore, there is nothing to “find.”
The Trap
Anyone searching for the Infinite Light... Is actually searching for an experience. A feeling. An illumination for themselves. And that is no longer Infinite Light. That is “restricted light” trying to dress itself up in human vessels.
The Real Work
So what do we search for? Vessels (Kelim).
The work is not on the Light. The work is on the Vessel. Refining the Will. Clarifying the Intention. Repairing the Character Attributes (Middot). Precising the place... where the Light can be revealed.
Therefore, all spiritual paths are supposed to deal with building vessels for that one Light. And not with the Light itself.
The Definition of Redemption
Redemption (Geula) is not the “descent of new light.” It is the removal of the concealment. It is the removal of the static... that allows the Light that was always there... To be revealed within physical reality.
The Conclusion
Therefore, we do not look for Infinite Light. We simply live in a way... that stops disturbing it.
