Stop Listening to Prophecies of Doom
Why "There is no constellation for Israel" (Ein Mazal L'Yisrael). The future is written by your will, not the stars.
I saw a prediction—an astrological reading or a prophecy—that said terrible things are going to happen to me (or the world). I am paralyzed by fear. Is my fate already sealed by the stars?
THE TEACHING
It is forbidden for a person to listen to anyone who predicts war, death, or a threat to their life upon them. There is no wisdom or higher knowledge in this, But a corrupt use of the power of speech.
The Sages established a fundamental principle: "There is no Mazal (Constellation/Fate) for Israel."
Even if influences and times exist, There is no binding decree on a person who lives out of choice, responsibility, and adhesion (Dvekut). True prophecy is never frightening and never paralyzing. It opens a path for correction and increases life.
Whoever spreads forecasts of disaster acts from a consciousness of fear, control, or ego. Sometimes, they even create actual spiritual damage, Because such speech weakens the vessel, creates foreign fear, and attracts judgments (Dinim).
Dealing with decrees without a vessel of correction is not knowledge; it is a Klipa (Shell). And according to the Torah of Mashiach, in the generation of redemption, there is no room for prophets of destruction, Only for awakeners of responsibility and consciousness.
Therefore, no authority should be given to personal predictions of disaster. No life decisions should be built upon them. And we must not allow another person to "hold our future."
A person's future is determined by the direction of their Will, The truth in which they walk, and the choices they make— Not by maps, forecasts, or scare tactics.
Fear is not knowledge. And it is not the voice of God.
Analyzing personal maps of people according to their date of birth and distributing them in public, While determining character, fate, dangers, or future, is a clear crossing of a severe spiritual line. According to the Torah, this enters into two prohibitions:
Idolatry (Avodah Zarah): Because they attribute decisive power over human life to stars, maps, or astrological structures, instead of to Choice, Repentance, and Divine Providence.
Evil Speech (Lashon Hara) and Harming Human Dignity: Because they judge a person, publish fixed determinations about them, and diminish their spiritual freedom in front of an audience.
If a person chooses of their own free will, in a private, intimate, and non-public manner, to use a map as a way of personal observation—that is their responsibility. And no other person has permission to control their choices. Even then, according to Judaism, the map has no binding authority, but is at most a cautious auxiliary tool that does not determine fate.
But whoever enters the maps of others, Presents themselves as an authority, creates an audience, spreads forecasts, frightens, and defines people or worlds— Is not dealing in wisdom, but in replacing God with another object.
This is exactly the classic definition of Idolatry: The transfer of the center of Divine Authority From human choice To an external system.
Not every astrological engagement is forbidden to the same degree, But turning personal maps into a public, prophetic, or marketing tool is a severe spiritual distortion.
The summarizing point: A person's future does not lie in the stars, Not in the mouth of a "consultant," And not in front of an audience. But in the direction of their Will, In their choice, And in their direct connection with the Divine Truth.
REFLECT
The Source of Fear: When you hear a prediction, does it make you feel small and trapped, or expanded and responsible? (God expands; Ego traps).
The External Authority: Who are you giving your "remote control" to? An astrologer, a news anchor, or a guru?
The Choice: If you knew that your Will overrides your "Chart," what would you choose to change today?
