Stop Saying "My Soul" (You Don't Own It)
Why you can't figure out your purpose through thoughts or feelings. The Soul isn't your property; it is a Divine Deposit.
“How do I know what my soul wants from itself?”
First, we do not say “My Soul.” Because the Soul is not the property of the Human.
The Soul is a Deposited Divine Light. A Mission (Shlichut) that lives within the person. It does not belong to him. The Human is the Vessel. Not the Owner.
The Shift in the Question Therefore, the question is not “What does my soul want?” But: “What does the Light that was deposited in me ask to reveal through me right now?”
How Do You Know?
Not through Thoughts.
Not through changing Emotions.
And not through Moral Expectations (trying to be a “good person”).
The Indicator: Cessation of Resistance The Light is revealed in the place where there is a Cessation of Internal Resistance. A place where:
There is no struggle to justify your existence.
There is no need to prove kindness or worth.
The Signs of Alignment The Light of the Soul is evident when life aligns from the inside out. There is:
Quiet.
Clarity.
Simple Vitality.
A sense of Truth that needs no external validation.
The Paradox of Expansion Even if from the outside it looks like Contraction (Tzimtzum)—e.g., doing less, speaking less, setting boundaries— On the inside, it feels like Expansion.
When there is Quiet Joy, Internal Freedom, and a life that is not based on Guilt— This is the sign that the Light is operating without blockage.
The Conclusion It happens not because you “wanted” it. But because you ceased to stand in its way.
Man does not choose the Will of the Soul. Man only stops resisting what seeks to be revealed through him.
Reflect:
The Ownership: Do you treat your soul like a pet you need to train, or a King you need to serve?
The Resistance: Where do you feel friction in your life? Friction is the ego fighting the Light. Where you feel flow (even if it’s scary), the Light is moving.
The Silence: Thoughts lie. Feelings change. Only the Silence knows.
