STOP TRYING TO BE A SPIRITUAL ARCHIVE
You haven't lost your connection; you’ve simply entered the "survival frequency" of your internal hardware
The Mechanics of Displacement
When you are in the middle of military service, surrounded by high-decibel stress and chronic uncertainty, your system initiates an automatic “Safety Protocol.” Your nervous system shifts into survival mode, and one of the most efficient ways it protects you is through a temporary, functional detachment from your emotional and spiritual depth. You aren’t “disconnected”; you are simply operating on the backup generator.
In the language of the Zohar, the soul is a permanent Divine spark. It does not fluctuate, it does not leave, and it certainly does not care about your external location. What you are experiencing is not the loss of the Light, but a shift in your attention. In a warzone, your attention is required for survival. The Light hasn’t moved; your focus has simply been reassigned.
The Tactical Return
You cannot expect to maintain the same “expansive” spiritual high in a high-stress environment that you had during times of quiet. Trying to force a deep, meditative state while your system is on high alert creates internal friction that leads to further imbalance.
The correction is to stop hunting for the “vastness” and start looking for the “micro-alignment.” Devekut (Adhesion) in a state of stress is not a long meditation; it is a single, conscious breath. It is the three-second realization between tasks that the Source is breathing through you. It is a “point” of awareness, not a “sea” of emotion. You don’t need a quiet room to find the Source; you just need a split-second of internal honesty.
ORIYA’S NOTE
You are spiritual-gaslighting yourself.
You’re in the middle of a high-stress military deployment, dealing with literal life-and-death stakes and zero personal space, and you’re upset because you don’t feel “balanced and aligned”?
Give yourself a goddamn break.
We have this toxic idea that if we were truly spiritual, we would be floating in a bubble of zen even while bombs are dropping or sirens are going off. We think that “attainment” means being immune to the human experience of stress. It’s total bullshit.
The “detachment” you’re feeling is your soul’s way of saying: I am protecting the core while we handle the chaos. It’s a feature, not a bug. You haven’t gone “backward.” There is no backward. Once you’ve seen the Light, you can’t un-see it; you just might not have the bandwidth to look at it right now.
Stop trying to feel “holy” in the middle of the mud. Holiness isn’t a feeling; it’s a fact. You are a Divine piece of the Source, whether you feel like a spiritual warrior or a tired, stressed-out human being who just wants a shower and ten minutes of silence.
Don’t look for the “big light” right now. Look for the “pilot light.” Just that tiny, steady flicker that says I am here. That’s enough. Your balance isn’t going to come from a long yoga session; it’s going to come from the radical self-compassion of acknowledging that you’re doing something incredibly hard. The Source isn’t waiting for you back at home in your “quiet spot.” He’s in the dust, in the stress, and in the exhaustion with you. Exhale. You’re doing fine.
