THE ARCHITECTURE OF DIVINE LOVE
Why God is not an angry man in the sky, the Kabbalistic definition of reality, and how to stop believing the universe is against you
The Foundation of Being
To understand the spiritual nature of the Divine as “Love” is not a sentimental idea; it is a fundamental perception of reality itself. It is the understanding that the bedrock foundation from which all existence stems is giving, sustaining, and connecting.
Divine Love is absolutely nothing like human emotion, which constantly changes based on circumstances. Divine Love is the very essence of Being. It is a relentless force that vivifies, holds, and develops everything that exists.
The Desire to Bestow
Therefore, in Kabbalah, it is stated that the defining characteristic of the Creator is “The Desire to Bestow Good to His Creations.” His essence is benevolent abundance that is unconditional and does not stem from any lack whatsoever.
When a human being begins to perceive the Divine as this type of absolute Love, they start to experience a profound sense of belonging, trust, and existence.
Reality Is Not Against You
The practical implication of this architecture is massive: Reality itself is not against you. Even when things are difficult, and even during immense upheaval, the system is operating out of a trend toward growth and becoming.
The more a person becomes similar to this Love through their own actions—through giving, containment, compassion, and connection—the more they experience the Divine within themselves. This is the principle of Equivalence of Form.
Therefore, understanding God as Love is a massive transition from perceiving an external, distant god, to a consciousness of a loving, immanent Existence from which everything stems and within which everything is held.
ORIYA’S NOTE
We have a very childish, very damaging view of God.
We still essentially think of God as a giant, moody, invisible man in the sky. If things are going well, He likes us today. If things are going poorly, He is angry and punishing us. We project our own volatile, messy human emotions onto the Infinite Creator.
The architecture here completely shatters that projection.
God doesn’t have love; God is the fundamental infrastructure of reality that only knows how to give. The source code is “The Desire to Bestow Good.” Period. There is no lack, there is no moodiness, and there is no changing His mind.
This means you have to stop taking your difficult circumstances personally. The universe is not out to get you. The difficulty is not proof that God hates you; it is part of the growth mechanism of a fundamentally benevolent system. If you want to feel the Divine, stop begging an external deity to change your life, and start acting like the Divine reality yourself—start giving.
