The Empathy Crash
When the architects of society lose the signal, the system is begging for a reboot.
There is an unbearable gap between the genuine suffering of people under threat and the profound detachment of the individuals supposed to lead them. When we see leaders operating with cold calculation—or even frivolity—while citizens are in survival mode, it is not just a moral failure. It is a diagnostic signal of a much deeper mechanism at work: the human ego has reached its maximum density and completely separated from the “Divine Image” (Tzelem Elokim).
In the mechanical mapping of the spirit, the Divine Image is not a description of good manners. It is the structural capacity to feel the “Other” as a part of yourself. When the *Will to Receive* operates without correction, an individual does not necessarily lose their intelligence or functionality. What they lose is the internal sensor of empathy. They become a highly efficient machine operating entirely within the “Shell” (Klipah)—a state where external survival, power, and image are the center of reality, and internal connection is pushed to the margins.
This creates the jarring split-screen reality we are living in: profound physical danger on one side, and profound systemic narcissism on the other.
Why is this happening now, with such aggressive clarity? Because we have reached a phase where the “Separation Virus” must be exposed without its makeup. In the past, the gap between the elite and the people was hidden behind better PR. Today, the system is forcing an extreme exposure—what Kabbalists call “The Recognition of Evil” (Hakarat HaRa). This is not meant to crush us with despair, but to force a collective internal scream. The sheer disgust you feel when you look at the system is the diagnostic proof that your own internal sensor is still alive.
The leaders we see are a macroeconomic mirror of the microeconomic human condition. You cannot fix the reflection by changing the glass. True sovereignty requires acknowledging that replacing one uncorrected ego with another will not stop the crash. The system is designed to disappoint you until you realize that external power structures are bankrupt. The only way to restore the signal is through the internal mechanism of connection—returning to the frequency where the pain of the collective is felt as your own.
