The Engine of Desire
The structural transition from the closed circuit of survival to the open flow of essential freedom.
In the structural mapping of the spirit, there is a fundamental distinction between two forces of consciousness:
The Will to Receive—Ratzon Lekabel—and the Will to Bestow—Ratzon Lehashpia.
The Will to Receive is the baseline of existence in this world.
It generates a non-stop movement of searching, fueled entirely by Lack (Chisaron).
Even when fulfillment arrives, it evaporates instantly, giving birth to a new void.
The individual feels they are in constant motion, yet they never truly break free.
This is a movement driven by internal survival, not by Liberty.
The Will to Bestow is a movement of an entirely different category.
It does not ask, “What am I missing?”
It asks, “What can I be and what can I grant?”
Here, the preoccupation with the closed self dissolves, and energy begins to flow outward.
When this shift occurs, the dependency on external lack diminishes, and the experience of “Freedom” begins.
The Soul—Neshama—is not looking for external agitation.
It is looking for Connection—to unity, meaning, and influence.
When a person lives solely within the Will to Receive, they are in motion, but they are inside an internal cage.
The move toward the Will to Bestow creates the movement of Liberty.
Liberty, according to this mapping, is not the license to do whatever one “feels” like doing.
It is the mechanical capacity to not be managed by your own lack.
It is the choice to act from depth.
The Soul only “loves movement” when that movement is an Expansion (Hitrachavut) rather than an Escape.
You cease to spin around yourself and finally become a Conduit for the life flowing through you.
