The False World
The False World – a world of influence without a source.
Everything we call “reality”
is nothing but a system of mutual influences that was created after the Shattering.
The divine light did not disappear;
it was wrapped in the vessels that were shattered,
which became klipot (shells/husks).
The Zohar calls these the “worlds of falsehood” (olamot d’shikra),
worlds in which the light is hidden inside a circular movement of false influence.
Man is nourished by influences, by echoes, by copies of life,
but not by life itself.
And thus the lie was born:
Man believes the light comes from the outside—
from money, from honor, from the opinions of others, from a needy love—
but does not understand that it is all being drawn from the light within him.
This is the serpent.
This is the illusory kingdom.
It teaches us to replace the source
with a reflection,
and to call this
“life.”
The false world operates through constant influence.
Mashiach is found in the place where there is no such influence.
Reflect:
Where in your life are you feeding on “reflections of life” (social media, external validation, status) instead of connecting to the source of life within you?
Can you identify a belief you hold that the “light” (happiness, security, love) comes from something external?
What would it feel like to step into that place free from constant external influence, the quiet place where Mashiach is found?
