The Internal Union: How to Marry the Man and Woman Inside You
Before you run to fix your relationship outside, check the divorce happening inside. The guide to balancing the "Influencer" and the "Receiver."
“How can I find a good relationship if I feel like there is a war inside me? How do I create peace between the part that wants to ‘do’ (the man in me) and the part that wants to ‘feel’ (the woman in me)?”
The subject of creating Internal Union
between the Masculine and Feminine within us—is the key to everything that happens outside.
Masculine and Feminine are not genders. They are Soul Forces.
The Holy Zohar teaches that they are two sides of the same soul.
There is no person who is only “Man” or only “Woman.”
We are all composed of these two poles, and Wholeness (the “Whole Man”) is created only when they dance together.
The Internal Dictionary:
The Masculine (Wisdom/Grace): Action, initiative, intellect, decision, activity, straight line. The power to “Give.”
The Feminine (Understanding/Severity): Reception, containment, emotion, intuition, listening, circle. The power to “Receive” and process.
The Spiritual Sickness:
Most of us live in an “Internal Divorce.”
Either we are in Masculine Excess: Only doing, running, giving, thinking—until we dry out (because there is no vessel to contain).
Or we are in Feminine Excess: Only feeling, overwhelmed, passive, waiting to be saved—until we drown (because there is no line to direct).
How to Create the “Internal Wedding”?
1. The Daily Pulse Check
Stop for a moment once a day and ask: Which side is running me right now?
Am I in an “Action Attack” (Masculine) and forgot to breathe and feel? $\rightarrow$ Correction: Initiated pause of reception, silence, or listening.
Am I in “Emotional Overwhelm” or passivity (Feminine)? $\rightarrow$ Correction: One practical action. A decision. Movement.
2. Synchronization between Action and Intention
This is the great secret of Kabbalah:
Action without Intention = Body without Soul.
The Action is Masculine.
The Intention (Heart) is Feminine.
Before every major move (at work or home), check:
Is there only “Execution” (Masculine) here? Or is there also “Space” (Feminine)?
Did I bring the heart into the deed?
When they connect—this is “The Union of the Holy One, Blessed be He, and His Shechina” inside your body.
3. External Relationship as a Mirror
Your partner is the exact reflection of the neglected side within you.
If your partner is too “cold and practical” for your taste—it is a sign that the “Feminine” (emotional) side in you is screaming, or that you are not giving space for the “Masculine” side in you to express itself, so you project it onto him.
Any correction you make inside (balancing the will to give and the will to receive)—will immediately calm the tension at home.
The Goal: Internal Messiah
The Torah speaks of the revelation of Messiah as a Spiritual Union.
It is the state where the Mind (Masculine) does not suppress the Heart (Feminine), and the Heart does not confuse the Mind.
They work like a loving couple:
The Mind navigates, the Heart provides the fuel.
Reflect:
The Identification: Where do you feel more comfortable? In the position of the “Initiator” or the “Container”? The other side is the one that demands work.
The Practice: If you are a very “practical” person, do one purposeless thing today just for the soul (Feminine). If you are a very “dreamy” person, do one act of order and organization today (Masculine).
The Understanding: “Relationship” is not something you find. It is something you become.
