The Mourning Was Part of the Dance
The Mourning Was Part of the Dance
“I am afraid to let go of my grief. It feels like if I stop hurting, I am betraying the memory of what I lost. People tell me to ‘move on,’ but I feel stuck in the moment it broke. How can I turn this into a ‘dance’ when the pain is the only connection I have left?”
“You turned my mourning into dancing.” (Psalm 30:12) A revelation of the depth of a soul-move.
The Lament (Misped) is a state where a person identifies with the Lack. With the tear. With what was broken in time and form.
The Dance (Machol) is movement, rotation, a return to the Center, to the Root of Life that is above cause and effect.
The sorrow itself is not the mistake. The mistake is the identification with it as a final reality.
When the Light shines, the pain does not disappear, but its place changes. It ceases to be an identity and becomes a Gate.
The Dance symbolizes a Circular Consciousness in which there is no beginning and end. There is no blame and no “why did this happen to me.” But rather a movement in which even the fracture is included in a Divine move of repair.
And the soul recognizes that it was never lost. It only descended to wear a temporary form in order to reveal a greater depth of light.
Therefore, the reversal is not “I was happy in the place where I felt bad.” But the discovery that the Lament itself was part of the Dance. A stage in the leading back to the Root.
This is the moment where a person stops clinging to pain as proof of love, loyalty, or meaning, and agrees to let the Light lead him.
And then it becomes clear that nothing was taken from him. Only a shell (Klipa) was removed.
This is the secret of Private Redemption. Not the erasure of the past, but its inclusion in a living movement where the soul dances again with its Source.
Even if the “scar” remains, it is revealed as a seal of the depth of the path.
Reflect:
The Identity: Are you holding onto your pain because you think it is the only proof that you loved?
The Geometry: Lament is linear (it has a start and a crash). Dance is circular (it always returns to the center). Which shape is your heart living in today?
The Seal: Look at your deepest scar. Can you see it not as a defect, but as the place where the “Shell” was removed to reveal the depth?
The conversation continues in the comments. Share a moment where your “Lament” turned into a “Gate.”
