Why telling a woman she is spiritually perfect is actually an insult
The Ignorant Compliment
A nice man recently said: “A woman comes down to this world already corrected. Her entire purpose is to fix the man. That is why she is only commanded to keep three laws, unlike a man.”
This is not a compliment. This is superficial ignorance. It mixes Kabbalistic concepts without understanding their depth. In the Source Code (The Secret Wisdom), no soul comes down fully corrected. The very fact of descending into this world means there is a clarification and a correction (Tikkun) to be done.
The Architecture of Souls
Both Male and Female are expressions of the “Will to Receive” that must undergo a process of refinement to match frequencies with the Infinite Light. According to the Zohar, Male and Female are not ranks of “Superior” and “Inferior.” They are two sides of one Wholeness. The connection between them is designed to complete a spiritual structure. Not so one can “fix” the other. But so both can reveal Wholeness through connection.
Every soul—male or female—is a literal piece of the Divine. There is no difference in the essential value between the soul of a man and the soul of a woman. The differences are in their Functions and how their forces are revealed in the body, not in their Divine Root. Every soul comes down to transform the Will to Receive into the Will to Bestow. This is a deeply personal, internal process that does not depend on biological sex.
The Fact Check
First, we must be factually accurate. The statement that a woman is commanded in only “three Mitzvot” is simply false. A woman is obligated in almost all negative commandments (Things you must not do) and a vast number of positive commandments (Things you must do).
The actual Halachic (Legal) difference is this: Women are exempt from Time-Bound Positive Commandments (Mitzvot Aseh Shehazman Grama). Meaning: Actions that are tied to a specific ticking clock, like sitting in a Sukkah or putting on Tefillin at a specific hour. This is not “three laws.” It is a specific category within a massive system.
The Physics of Time vs. Space
This exemption is not evidence of a lower spiritual status. It is a matter of spiritual mechanics. In the Kabbalistic structure:
Time is connected to the masculine dimension (Zeir Anpin), which reveals itself in cyclical movement (days, hours). The Male is obligated in time-bound actions because his primary work is to draw down Light through the framework of time and movement.
The Female is identified with the Vessel (Malchut and Bina). The Vessel that gives birth to reality.
Malchut is not lesser. It is the exact place where the Light is actually revealed. It is the root of all created beings. Therefore, the Woman’s work is not primarily done through a high volume of actions strictly bound to a clock. Her work is done through Building the Vessel Itself. Through internal stability. Through shaping the space where the Light dwells.
The Conclusion
The exemption from the clock is not an exemption from Value. It is an exemption from a specific Track of work. Anyone who reduces a woman to a “sidekick” whose only job is to fix a man misses the depth of the Secret. They are speaking the language of an Am Ha’aretz (An ignoramus). The Divine Structure requires depth, reciprocity, and balance. The woman is a complete soul with her own mission, her own clarifications, and her own corrections.

There is a toxic concept in the religious world called Benevolent Sexism. It is when men strip women of their spiritual agency, but they do it with a smile and a compliment.
They say: “Oh, women are on a higher spiritual level. You are already perfect. You don’t need to pray three times a day or study deep texts. You are just here to help us men, who are very flawed, get to heaven.”
It sounds flattering. It is actually a cage. If a woman is “already perfect” and her only job is to fix the man, she is no longer the Main Character of her own soul’s journey. She is reduced to an NPC (Non-Playable Character) in the man’s video game. She is just a tool for his enlightenment.
The text destroys this. You came down here? You have work to do. You have an ego to break. You have a Will to Receive that needs refining.
The difference in the commandments isn’t about superiority; it is about Hardware. Men are tied to the clock (Time-Bound Commandments) because male energy is chaotic. Left to its own devices, it scatters. It needs a metronome. It needs to be told: “Stop at 7:00 AM. Stop at 2:00 PM. Stop at sunset. Do this specific action.”
Female energy is the Vessel (Malchut). It is Space. Space doesn’t need a metronome; it needs structural integrity. Stop letting people use pseudo-spirituality to turn you into a supporting actress. You have your own script.
