The Noise of Evasion
Busyness is not productivity. It is camouflage.
The Great Escape
Most human beings are occupied their entire lives with escaping the question: Who are they really? And why are they here?
The Fillers
They fill time with survival. With comparison. With validation. With roles. With pleasures. With fears. With relationships that calm them for a moment. And with thoughts that explain why “that’s just how it is.” Anything to avoid standing in front of their essence.
The Concealment
According to the secret wisdom, this is employment in Concealment (Hestara). It is not action. It is the evasion of Consciousness (Da’at). Because to truly know requires change. It requires giving up on compromises. It requires loyalty to an internal truth.
The Noise
That is why the world is so noisy. People are busy extinguishing existential unease instead of revealing the light that comes through them. Only a few stop. Only a few agree to sober up.
ORIYA’S NOTE
We often mistake “high functioning” for “high purpose.” We think because we are moving fast, closing deals, and managing chaos, we are alive. But often, the speed is just a defense mechanism. We run fast so the question “Who am I?” cannot catch us.
This is the ultimate form of outsourcing. We outsource our identity to our calendar. We outsource our worth to our output. We are terrified of the silence because in the silence, the distraction dies, and we are left with the void we have been trying to fill with noise. Restoring sovereignty starts with the terrifying act of stopping.
