THE RADIANCE OF COLLECTIVE WILL
Transitioning from the burial of habit to the freedom of conscious desire.
The Welding of Souls
The human being was not created as a disconnected unit, but as a functional part of a single collective soul. The ultimate purpose of existence is to return to that primal unity—to the level of Keter (Crown), which is the root of will and adhesion. To “weld ourselves together in Light” does not mean negating your individuality; rather, it means refining it until it can be integrated into the whole. When each person brings the unique point of their soul toward a unified intention, we build a collective vessel (Malchut) capable of receiving the infinite light from the Source.
Exiting the Living Grave
In the internal logic of the Zohar, “Egypt” represents enslavement to the mental images we believe are life: money, status, rigid habit, and even external religious “pictures.” Internally, this state is a “Grave”—a place where vital life is buried under the dust of routine. Liberation from Egypt occurs the moment an individual decides they are no longer willing to live out of fear or habit, but only for the sake of Truth. It is a structural shift from being a reactive object to becoming a proactive subject.
The Sovereignty of Choice
True freedom is not found in the presence or absence of action, but in the source of the motivation. According to the Ramchal in Derech Hashem, freedom is the ability to act out of adhesion (Dveikut) rather than coercion. A person may be performing many actions, yet remain free if those actions are an expression of their internal connection. Conversely, “not doing” can often be just another form of escape.
Sovereignty does not abolish the path or the law; it fills them with spirit and knowledge. You do not stop “doing”—you stop being a slave to the doing. You do not reject the world; you transform it into a vessel for Light. Torah that is born from external pressure is perceived as servitude, but Torah born from internal desire is the definition of freedom itself.
