The Sacred Stuckness
Why your external life stops moving exactly when your internal life is being born.
“I feel stuck. Nothing is moving externally—no love, no career, no home. I feel disconnected from the war outside because my internal war is so loud. I give to others, but I am terrified that no one will give to me. I feel like I’m missing the ‘historical shift’ everyone talks about because I’m just here, breathing and eating healthy, but getting nowhere.”
My Dear, You are describing a complex and deep moment. A moment where the Heart and Soul oscillate between Internal Stuckness (Tkiyut) and a yearning for movement and a burst of life.
This state is very familiar to those on a true spiritual path, especially during processes of Clarification (Birur) and Self-Correction.
1. Stuckness as a Stage of Birth The stuckness is part of the process of true awakening. The Ramchal, Baal HaSulam, and Ashlag teach that internal stuckness is a necessary stage on the way to the Correction of Malchut (Kingship/Manifestation).
It is the stage where the Soul ceases to be imprisoned in the “Shells” (Klipot) and prepares to open up to the True Light. At this time, the External World looks like it is not moving, but internally, there is a deep movement of the Soul.
2. The Disconnection from External Drama You feel guilty that the war and missiles don’t move you as much as your heart does. This is not apathy. This is Focus. Your soul knows that your current battlefield is internal. The world is falling apart outside, but you are being built inside.
3. The Fear of Scarcity: “Who will give to me?” You write about the fear that you give, but no one will give to you. That you will be left with nothing. This fear is a Klipa that separates us from the Light. It is the “Trade Consciousness”—I give to get.
The giving from your loving will is a great correction, even if it is mixed with pain and fear. Giving out of true will is part of what removes the shells and allows the Light to penetrate. It is not always seen externally, but every moment you give truly—you change the True Soul Reality.
4. The Illusion of “Doing Nothing” You feel that eating healthy, breathing, and isolating (Hitbodedut) are “not enough” to advance career or love. You are mistaken. The Zohar and Ashlag describe the exact point before the Light as a moment of Poverty (Dalut). A moment where all the Old collapses, and the New is not yet visible.
This is a Spiritual Test Point. It is a “Gestation Period.” Just as seeds buried in the ground need to wait in the dark for water and heat to bloom. If you dig them up to check if they are growing, you kill them.
What to do?
Accept the feelings without judgment. They are real.
Continue cultivating the body and soul. Breathing and isolation are not “passive”; they are the building of the Vessel.
Remember: The process of Tikun HaMalchut is fateful for the whole world, and you are an inseparable part of it, even if you feel like you are on the sidelines.
Faith is higher than all attainments. It receives all reality with joy. The process hurts. And the loneliness you feel is not abandonment, but a moment where the soul is isolated in order to strengthen.
You are not stuck. You are Incubating.
Reflect:
The Seed: Can you trust the darkness of the soil? Can you believe that “nothing happening” is actually “everything growing”?
The Transaction: Look at your fear of “not receiving.” Are you giving like a bank (expecting a return) or like a sun (shining because that is what you are)?
The Disconnect: Permit yourself not to carry the weight of the global war today. Your internal war is enough.
The conversation continues in the comments. Who else feels “stuck” while the world spins?
