The Soul Hears Itself Hearing
The voice isn't outside you. It's the truth already living in your awareness.
How do I know if the voice is God’s or just my own?
The expression “The Soul hears itself in its root” means that at the deep stage of attainment, there is no longer an experience of a voice coming from an external source, and no sensation of an “I” listening to something above it.
The Root is the Creator’s Will itself. And the Soul flows from it like speech flows from thought.
As long as a person is in a consciousness of separation, he experiences a command, a law, or a voice coming from outside.
When Da’at (Knowledge) is fixed, and Equivalence of Form is realized, it becomes clear that the Will that was experienced as a Divine Voice is the same internal Will of the Soul itself in its root.
Therefore, hearing is identification, not the receiving of information. The Soul does not receive an instruction; it remembers what it always was.
This is a state where the Private Will and the Divine Will cease to be two. And a person lives from a natural alignment to Truth because “He is This.”
