The Unfiltered World
Reality is just raw data. The drama is what you add to it.
The Filter
One of the cornerstones of understanding the world... without interpretation... Is the ability to liberate oneself from personal opinions. From judgmental forms. And from the emotional reactions of the person toward reality.
When a person sees reality only through the filter of his thoughts, his feelings, and his personal assumptions... He does not see the world as it is.
The spiritual work is to stop giving space to false or unfounded thoughts. And to look at everything as it is. Without pre-determinations.
The ability to release yourself from personal motives and biased opinions is the first step in reaching this level.
The Light Source
In The Zohar (The Book of Splendor), it is said that to reach this level of seeing the world without interpretation... A person must connect to Divine Light that will flow through him.
The Divine Light stems from an infinite source of truth. And through it, one can see the world as it truly is. Without screens of opinions or illusions.
The Mechanic of Humility
To see the world without interpretation... A person needs to be at the level of true Humility (Anava). Which is the ability to stop being a captive of the influence of the external world.
Humility is the vessel that allows a person to stop judging reality according to his personal desires... and to see it from a place of acceptance.
A humble person does not judge the world. But accepts it as it is. And understands that he is not a partner in the absolute determinations of everything.
The Correction
True Repentance (Teshuva) means an internal correction where the person transmits everything from a soul-connection to Divinity. And by doing so, he is released from the disturbances and distortions brought by the sense of “I.”
The Whole
Looking at the world as something whole. Everything in the world, according to The Zohar, is part of one whole creation. And one should not view it separately or distort it.
If every detail is perceived as whole... And has an inner connection to all other details... Then the observation of it is neither interpretive nor judgmental.
The Mirror
The person who succeeds in seeing all of reality as a whole... Understands that every detail carries within it the Divine Light.
The moment a person succeeds in rising above the influence of personal opinions and external motives, he will be able to see the world as it is. A place of Divine Truth that has no room for unnecessary interpretations.
“Absolute acceptance of reality... is our absolute acceptance of ourselves.”
