The World Is a Costume, You Are the Light
Why trying to "understand" the situation is a trap. The definition of True Presence.
“How do I maintain spiritual connection when the world demands so much attention? How do I stop getting lost in the drama of external events?”
The World is a Garment of the Soul. Its purpose is to reveal the Divine Truth hidden within it.
Presence is not just “paying attention.” It is the Internal Connection of the Soul to the Divine Will. To be “In Internal Light” within every situation.
Everything experienced from the outside is not the Truth. It is the Garment.
Presence Is Not Intellectual It is not about “understanding the situation” or analyzing the data. It is primarily Emotional and Spiritual. It is the flow of Light through every action.
The Zohar says: Every action is considered a “Living Torah” (Torah Chaya) when you place your Heart and True Will within it.
Even washing the dishes, walking, or working— if the Heart is present, the action becomes Torah.
Release from External Influence True Presence requires Non-Identification with the External World. To see the Shell (Klipa)—the noise, the drama, the surface appearance— without letting it remove you from your internal quiet.
The Perspective Shift: The World and the People in it are a Vessel (Kli). They are not the Goal (Matara).
They are the instruments through which you practice your connection to the Light. Don’t get lost in the instrument; play the music.
Reflect:
The Garment: Look at your current problem. Is it the “Body” (Truth) or just the “Garment” (Circumstance)?
The Action: Pick one mundane task today (driving, cooking). Can you put your “True Will” into it so it becomes a “Living Torah”?
The Tool: If people are “Vessels” for your growth, what is the difficult person in your life trying to teach you right now?
The conversation continues in the comments.
