To Be Still in the Face of the Abyss
Silence is not passivity. It is the acknowledgement that the picture is bigger than your intellect.
To Be Still in the Face of the Abyss
Silence is not passivity. It is the acknowledgement that the picture is bigger than your intellect.
“What do I say when tragedy strikes? How do I explain the suffering? Everyone is talking, should I?”
Facing disaster, Tragedy, or suffering, Our human intellect is very limited. Most of our talk— Even out of good will— Is incapable of containing the experience. And often, it only introduces noise that confuses and distances us from the Essence.
The True Wisdom here is to maintain Internal Quiet. To observe and respect what is happening. To understand that we do not have the whole picture.
To be Still (Lidom) and silent is not a lack of action or fear. But the ability to be an Open Vessel. To allow the Light and the Repair to flow, Instead of adding Shells (Klippot) of judgment or inflated opinion.
He who has something to do— Let him act, let him repair, let him build. And the Deed is more important than any speech. Speech that comes from a worn-out place, or anger, Or from a distorted intellect, Does not contribute; it only confuses.
To respect, to maintain silence, and to be ready for repair through actions— This is the manner in which True Wisdom is revealed in the world. Even facing the greatest pain.
The Silence, And the Stillness, Facing disaster or suffering are not passivity. But an Alignment with a Higher Order in this world.
The Creator leads reality. Not human beings. And everything that happens is part of the Leadership of the Infinite.
When we rush to speak, To judge or to preach out of a limited mind or distorted emotions, We add noise and a covering over the Truth. Instead of letting the Light be revealed through our vessel.
To be Still is to recognize and admit that the Universe is managed by the Creator. And that everything we see or experience is part of the Supreme Plan, Even if we do not understand it.
Instead of speaking, A person must be a vessel open to Divine Leadership. To contain. To observe. And to learn.
Therefore, the correct stance is: To respect what is happening. To maintain internal silence. And to act solely out of repair and true doing.
This is the Creator’s world. Not human beings’. Memorize this.
