Why self-neglect is actually an insult to the Creator
THE ONLY WAY OUT IS IN
To the extent that a person is willing to meet themselves—all the way to the end—that is the extent to which they discover the Infinite (Ein Sof).
The Source of Security Security is not found in the “Self.” Security is found in the Light. But the Light is accessed through the Self.
To the degree that you agree to meet yourself truly, the world opens up. The Creator. Eternity. The Infinite. Why? Because what a person calls “The World” is not what is outside of them. “The World” is simply what you are capable of feeling, containing, and recognizing.
The Closed Room A person who is not willing to meet themselves lives in a closed world. A cramped world. A world full of fears and defenses. But a person who is willing to enter inside discovers that within their own interior, there is no end. There is depth. There is life. There is vitality. There is Divinity.
And then, the reality outside expands. Because the Vessel has expanded. The Infinite does not reveal itself to you from the outside. It reveals itself to the exact measure that you are willing to meet yourself. Measure for measure.
The Divine Narcissism A person must experience themselves as singular in the world. As the most vast thing that was ever created. Why? Because this is God Himself, in His glory and essence, revealing Himself through you.
When a person belittles or neglects themselves, they are actually behaving that way toward the Creator. Therefore, we must lead our lives here. Do not look outside. Look at the Creator deep, deep, deep inside. Without blinking. With the eyes of love itself.
“Every day is a letter from God.”

ORIYA’S NOTE
There is a dangerous misunderstanding in spiritual circles that “ego death” means “self-neglect.” We think that to be holy, we must erase ourselves. We think that if we make ourselves small, God gets big.
This is bad math. You are the interface. You are the screen upon which the resolution of God is displayed. If the screen is dirty, cracked, or turned off, you don’t see more God. You see nothing.
Respecting your own existence isn’t arrogance. It’s maintenance. If you treat the vessel like trash, you are insulting the One who poured the wine.
