The more I accept this, the more I embrace the freedom it gives me, the more I find others who have had similar experiences and we have found incredibly meaningful connection together. It means we get the best of both worlds - belonging and freedom in a way that most family structures do not allow. In fact, the conditioning we have received means most people cling to illusions of freedom and love without ever experiencing either.

Hmm to some degree yes, but I believe and have seen that plenty, if not most, in the “west” stay in the comfort lane as much as possible … with some sense of a safety net… at least making that to be the golden goal
