Why Your Soul Loves Israel, But Your Body Lives Abroad
Geography is just a reflection of Psychology. Why the "Land" (Eretz) is actually the "Will" (Ratzon), and why some souls need the distance to do their work.
“I love Israel with all my heart. I cry when I hear the anthem. But I live abroad, and I can’t seem to make the move. I feel guilty, like I’m missing my destiny. Why am I here if my heart is there?”
According to the Zohar and the Ramchal: “The Land” (Eretz) is not just a geographic place. It is a State of Consciousness.
The word “Eretz” (Land) comes from the word “Ratzon” (Will). Eretz Israel represents a Corrected Will. It is a frequency that is closer to Revelation. It is a state that does not tolerate compromise.
The Voltage Problem Because the spiritual intensity of Israel is so high, not every soul can dwell there in practice at every stage.
Israel is “High Voltage.”
Abroad (Chul) is a “Transformer.”
There are souls that love the Land precisely because their Root is connected to it. But their Vessel (Kli) still needs to undergo clarification in a place where the Light is less pressing.
Abroad (Chul), in the language of the Secret (Sod), is a state of Distance. This distance allows for work that is:
Slow.
Hidden.
Internal.
Done without the High Light of the Land “breaking the vessel.”
Baal HaSulam explains that there are souls whose specific role is to “Clarify Sparks” specifically in the Exile. Not out of disconnection, but out of Mission. The sparks of holiness are scattered, and sometimes you are sent to New York, London, or Bangkok to retrieve a spark that cannot be found in Jerusalem.
The Memory vs. The Work
Your Love for the Land is the Memory of the Root.
Your Residence Abroad is the Temporary Condition of Work.
Messianic Consciousness In the consciousness of Messiah, Redemption (Geula) does not begin with a physical move (a flight ticket). It begins with the Settling of the Mind and Heart.
There are those who live in Israel but are in deep Internal Exile.
There are those who live Abroad but carry the Consciousness of Eretz Israel inside them.
The soul goes to the place where its Clarification (Birur) is most precise at any given moment.
No Guilt, No Pressure You love the Land because your soul belongs there. You live abroad because that is where your Correction (Tikun) can be done right now without coercion.
In Messianic Consciousness:
There is no pressure.
There is no guilt.
And there is no idealization of a place without a vessel to hold it.
When the Will (Ratzon) is fixed, the Place will arrange itself. Whether in the body or in the consciousness. Because ultimately, Eretz Israel is not a Destination; it is a Level.
Reflect:
The Definition: Change your definition of “Aliyah” (Ascending). It’s not just moving your furniture to Tel Aviv; it’s moving your consciousness to Truth.
The Mission: If you are abroad, stop feeling guilty and start working. You are an ambassador gathering sparks in the field. Do your job.
The Voltage: Do you feel overwhelmed when you visit Israel? That’s the voltage. Respect it. Build your vessel so you can one day hold it permanently.
