Your True Measure
“Godliness” represents moral perfection,
infinite knowledge.
Man is a finite creature, fragile and limited,
but with a consciousness that is capable of asking about infinity,
about absolute morality,
about meaning.
And in this sense, he is “measured” by the tension between himself and the Divine.
Man discovers his true measure when he discovers the Godliness within him.
“The true measure of man is Godliness.”
This reflects a simple truth:
The innermost, true identity of a person is divine.
The more he identifies with this,
lives in accordance with this,
the more he lives his “true measure.”
Reflect:
In your daily life, do you identify more with your finite limitations or your infinite, divine nature?
What would change if you lived from the knowing that your truest identity is Godly?
Where does the tension between your finite self and your infinite consciousness show up for you?
What lands for you?
